Auto ISO

Since I first got my DSLR (Nikon D70s), I kept Auto ISO on Off. I activated the option only once for some pictures but I disliked the results.
Yesterday I visited the storage facilities of a pharmaceutical distribution company and I activated Auto ISO, more for testing purposes than expecting some very good results. But I was really surprised. Actually I rediscovered the high ISO capabilities of my camera.
I know that D70s is not the best DSLR on the market when it comes to high ISO image quality, but it is more than enough for me. Some of the pictures taken at ISO 1600 don't even need any noise reduction for my eyes. (You know I don't count pixels on the image :) and I don't need virtual noise free images. For printing at 10x15 or for viewing on the monitor at 25% let's say, it's good enough)

I've attached one of the image (taken at 1600) and some 100% crops from various parts of the image
